How much does a kitchen glass splashback cost?
A kitchen glass splashback from Manor Glass typically costs £180–£450 per square metre, supplied and fitted. The exact price depends on the glass type, the number of socket cut-outs, and whether the wall needs preparing first.
Below we break down what affects the price, what is included in our quote, and the most common jobs we price for in Wallington and across Surrey.

What affects the price
There is no single answer, but most kitchen splashbacks we fit in Wallington fall in the £180–£450 per square metre range, fully supplied and fitted. The four things that move the price are: the type of glass (toughened vs annealed, clear vs coloured, standard vs low-iron), the total area, the number of socket and switch cut-outs, and the condition of the wall behind.
Toughened is more expensive than annealed, but it is what we recommend for behind a hob. It is heat-resistant and will not shatter into shards if broken. Coloured glass is a paint-coating on the back of clear low-iron glass, which costs more than standard clear but gives a much more vivid finish than the alternative (a coloured film).

What is not included
Wall preparation: if the existing tiles or plaster are loose, we will quote separately to make good. Splashback glass has to be fixed to a flat, sound surface.
Electrics: we do not move sockets or switches. If the layout needs changing, get a Part-P registered electrician in first.
Removal of the old tiles: we will work around them or, for an extra fee, lift and dispose of them.

Frequently asked questions
Is a glass splashback better than tiles?
For most kitchens, yes. Glass is non-porous so it does not absorb grease, and there are no grout lines to clean. The colour is consistent across the panel, and a single sheet is easier to wipe down than 100 tiles.
Do you need a template or measurements?
Either. For straight runs we work from your measurements. For L-shapes, around windows or with multiple cut-outs, we do a site visit and template the wall in cardboard before cutting.
How long does fitting take?
Most kitchen splashbacks are measured, cut and fitted in a single visit. Lead time from order to fitting is usually 5–10 working days for toughened glass. Clear stock sizes can sometimes be cut and fitted same-week.
